Today's Featured Artist/Writer: Sean Landers

Sean Landers is a New York-based multimedia artist who frequently uses text & language in his visual art.

He has also published his autobiography Sic as a radically un-revised and un-edited book. I lent this book to a student or friend (I truly forget), and it was never returned.

We don't have time to listen to this interview in class, but the link is here if you want to learn more: Interview with him from 2011.

One of my favorite pieces of audio "art" is his rambling & comedic "The Man Within."  Coincidentally,  this 18 minute piece is the same length as most TED talks. After we listen to it, you will need to respond in a single paragraph that accomplishes two discrete things: 1) Describes what exactly it is; and 2) Evaluates or assesses it. In other words, what's the point of it? Think of it as a micro-review or blurb-review.

You have 18 minutes to draft, revise, and edit your paragraph. It's perfectly fine to scratch out the writing that doesn't quite work, just make sure that it's legible.
